Game #3 SAT vs NU

Nice DP gets Cole out of further trouble. Just 1 run given up after having runners on the corners with no doubts. Nice. 7-2 good guys, after 6 innings. R.J.

back to back singles by Keyes and Rupp to start 7th. Loy sac fly brings in Keyes from third. 8-2 ... DP ends innings .. 8-2 bot 7th. Come on Cole, make this quick again. R.J.

Cole gives up a Double, but gets out of the inning. Last out, Torres threw a bit off, Belt applied the tag but the first base Ump ruled him safe, overruled by the Homeplate umpire.

So, despite the double, it was a 7 pitch inning for Cole. Jus 82 pitches in 7 innings by Cole. 2 runs, 1 earned, 4 hits so far.

R.J.

Tucker walks, Torres singles, Runners at 1nd and 3rd. Now Torres steals to second. Nobody out, 2 in scoring position, top 8th. It keeps on going ... R.J.

Two strikeouts, then an error on a hard hit ball to first leads to another run. Keyes flies out to left. 9-2 going to the bottom of the 8th.

Two walks, then a fly out and a DP to end the inning. Mike Anderson upset arguing Loy was off 2nd base when he got the ball, but the DP stands, on to the 9th.

appreciate the updates

Looks like OU beat Tech in a game today, apparently they'll play another game tonight.

Aggies up on KSU 2-1 in the 6th, Kansas up on OSU 4-2 in the 5th.

Line out to end the game, Horns win 9-2.

I'd like to see Nebraska get back on track here soon. We need them to help out with taking some games from the folks ahead of us in the standings, and honestly it isn't quite the same without them being the good team they usually are.

Congrats on the sweep though fellas

Terrific stuff from Cole Green. 9 IP, 4 hits, 2 R, 1 ER, 110 pitches.

A great outing from Cole was overdue, as he had looked a little patchy in the last few outings. Good pitching is contageous, and the whole pitching staff will react confidently to knowing that Cole is still out there to finish off a series in style. He has dropped his ERA from 2.75 to 2.42 and has gone ahead of Brandon and Chance, who are at 2.44 and 2.74 ... Of course Jungmann, Dicharry, Wood and Shinaberry are all between 1.36 and 2.00 in ERA.

Man, what a pitching staff!! .. I don't remember Texas EVER having 7 pitchers with ERAs under 2.75 (well, eight if you count Sam Stafford who pitched 1 scoreless innings!).

Our team ERA is at 2.19 now. Bats have been on a pretty good tear too lately. Looking good, looking good ...

Many thanks to all for the updates and commentaries.

It's invaluable for those of us with no other access to the game in progress.

It is great to get a sweep, particularly on the road. Hopefully, we can bring some of the momentum home with us. We have some tough series coming up soon.

KU's comeback win in the 9th vs aggy puts us in sole possession of 2nd in B12.

Also, 9 of our last 12 B12 games are at home, while ou has to win some road games, so we are in good position if we continue playing like we have this week.
