I don't spend money on movie, shows, etc..s that aren't really good. I'll follow the team all the way to the bitter end or glorious finish. I just don't travel to Austin or elsewhere, to watch 'em if they aren't good. The last time I was in Austin to watch them was two years ago. I planned to go this season as we started out great.....Don't think I'll make the trip this season after seeing we can't hit to save our lives. I will tune in to Game Tracker, Video, or radio feeds, etc... until the final out of the season in whatever regional we get sent...if we make one.

I can follow a loser if they show spunk and fight. Like the basketball team. They were not very good this year, but they battled hard in most every game but the one in reed Arena. I can handle watching my team lose if they are showing promise. When you can't hit the ball against a guy who has an ERA of over 6, like the game against Rice is hard to take. Hopefully Augie will get this thing fixed, because I 'd love to come to Austin for a regional at least.

Goodfellow, part iof the problem in not being at the games is that a person like yourself will draw the wrong conclusion based on the final score.
You have determined that ( unlike the "spunky" basketball team....... who i happen to think was and is way overrated ... shows a lot of fight and " just isn't very good."...you call them "losers" ...so be it ) that the baseball team isn't worthy of your support because they dont play hard and fight til the end.
Trust me , I have seen every game this year and this team never quits.... they dive , fight,scratch ,claw....whatever it takes. They just aren't getting the timely clutch hits , but it isn't based on lack of fight.

That game yesterday was a classic exmple... in the ninth, down 4-3, we had 2 out and 2 strikes with nobody on base and , before you knew it, Belt was fightin off 42 foul balls on a 2-2-2 count... before hitting a warning track out to LF with runners at 2 and 3rd

But you wouldn't know that because you are sitting behind your computer screen in San Angelo or someplace.
Bottom line , this team isn't losing for lack of spunk , fight and effort....they are vocal , active , supportive of their teammates ....you name it....

When I see him in 20 mins ,I will tell Augie to go ahead and cancel the rest of the season because you and Lost in Ohio don't think the team is worthy of support.

Everyone, including you, is entitled to their opinions....even if you are wrong .

You guys know I'm just kidding. I'm still going to watch, just like the rest of you. However, I like to use that line as one of frustration. It takes me a while to cool off but I'm ready to go today. Let's go Horns!!!
