Muschamp and, in turn, Mack will be pumped and should have this team ready to prove themselves.
I honestly believe they will. Texas is probably the most talented team in the Big12 and the talent gap between Texas/OU and the rest of the Big 12 is huge.

I would be dissappointed with anything less than 11 wins and a BCS berth (even if we loss to OU).
 
Missouri, Tech, Kansas and OU to me these are the 4 question marks. Mis, and Kansas would sell there first born for a win over us.. Tech in Lubbock,,, always tough and Ou need nothing else said.
 
i can see this team struggling this year - many question marks and tons of inexperience - with that said, i think this is a "set-up" year for the next couple of seasons - which i think can be special especially if they can stay somewhat healthy - could be a fun season, one that will hopefully show consistent improvement from week to week
 
We're winning the Big 12 this year. Nobody on our schedule has better talent than the Horns top to bottom. I look forward to beating OU, and coming to lbk and beating them again of course that'll be because the refs are Texas Exes, F colorado, F ku, and F mizzou.
 
Texas goes 10-2 in the regular season, losing a well-played game against OU and stumbling on the road to Tech (secondary just isn't quite ready for the test they receive).

We play in the Cotton bowl. Tech beats OU, wins Big 12 and plays in the Fiesta. OU is selected as BCS at-large. North monumentally disappoints and fails to live uo to preseason hype and last year's success.

I know this to be true because I am always right. If you don't believe me, you are wrong. Sorry.
 
I'm still amazed how little respect KU gets. They were a very VERY good team last year. Sure they didn't have the toughest schedule in the world. But they dominated every home game, including putting up 76 on Nebraska, that could have been 90. The same NU team that had Texas beat in Austin until the debut of the Jamaal Charles Show.

They won 3 road games vs bowl opponents, all handily. The CU game and TAMU game got close, but KU dominated the games and led 19-7 and 19-0 late.

They played outstanding defense. Va Tech turned it over, but KU forced sacks and TOs all year

Yeah, Missou dominated the first 3 quarters. Missou dominated everyone they played, save Oklahoma, which was a Sam Bradford concussion away from playing for the national title.

I mean, they weren't the best team in the country, but I am quite sure they will be bowling this year.
 
lol @ tech winning in Norman. i'll believe that when i see it. 2 home losses in 9 seasons under Stoops. Leach has beaten Stoops twice, once on a series of questionable to horrible calls, once on a concussion to the most prolific freshman QB in NCAA history.

I hope I can find someone with that opinion and a deep wallet, LOL.
 
Exactly what makes the game at CU tough? UT should win there.

We play at Kansas, but that is a winnable game as well.

The game at Tech, yeah I'm pretty concerned about that game. Texas has won in Lubbock 2 straight times already. I'm sure Tech knows that and will be ready to play for that game. That will be a difficult game.

Texas trailed 21-0 at tech in 06 before Colt lead them back.
 
yeah those wins obviously both count. they also were both obviously in Lubbock. I was pointing out they haven't won in Norman, and it has taken unusual circumstances to win in Lubbock.

If they can knock Bradford out of the game, that will help them tremendously, I don't deny that.

There is a series of events that would result in Tech beating OU this year, it just ain't very ******* likely. I think there are probably four games on OU's schedule more losable than Tech in Norman.
 
The defense should be better...maybe even a lot better. It will probably take a while for the offense to come around. Ten wins is doable, but not a given this year. I think eight or nine wins is very possible this year, with a couple of humongous years coming up after this one. I do think we go 2-1 against the north, with Missouri winning here, and Tech and okie seem like probable losses right now. For some reason, arky worries me too.
 
I predict alot of close games this season, I think our defense keeps us in every game this year, even tech, but its our offense that will struggle to score as many points. I really think the loss of Finley, Charles and Sweed will be felt this season. Its imperitive that someone steps up and becomes a home-run hitter that the offense has had for the past decade.
 
Maybe they pull out sCUm game at home but I dunno. I kind of like the direction sCUm is heading in and I think after Booger Boy leaves MU, I think sCUm is going to be our biggest North challenger.

I dunno. I like Mangino, but I'm not convinced they can beat the good teams in the league. I'm not convinced they will beat Nebraska in Lincoln either - not at all. Even our crap coach beat KU both times we played them at home. No reason to think Bo can't do the same.
 
I think we should get in 10 wins to keep ths streak alive. If we only have 9 wins going into a bowl game, we should get a relatively easy game...we have in the past, and I think keeping the streak alive will get the boys to play.

I'm don't even think I beleive this team will be worse than last year. We no longer have Akina coaching the defense, so thats a plus, we get some players back from injury on the Line (remember Arizona St.) and will be very athletic at Linebacker. Plus, we are going to have a experienced o-line, which should give Colt confidence ( he was smacked around a lot the beginning of last season). Ofcourse, we need wo WR's to prive themselves, but the running game should be good behind a better O-line.
 
Mack gives out co-champs rings, why not a 10-win trophy? Imagine the splendor of the 10-win trophy case! You would need sunglasses to gaze upon its majesty.

Instead of bye-weeks this year, just play Rice two more times. That trophy will be yours!
