I would like for all of you to keep a good friend of mine in your prayers.
She's plagued by sinus infections her whole life and has had several sinus surgeries without much improvement. Last week she got her second infection of the past months, and had to miss school even though she was already behind from the first infection.
The doctor had to give her a new kind of antibiotic b/c the old kind was becoming ineffective. Not long after she had gotten the shot, she devloped a severe allergic reaction and went into shock. They were very near to Seton NW and so she was over there and her blood pressure was stablized just in time. If they had been a few minutes further away from Seton NW it might have been too late. Even after that, she was shaking like she'd been electrocuted for the next half hour, and then broke out in hives. Basically everything bad that could have happened, happened.
She's home now, but still has to deal with the sinus infection plus the after-effect of the past couple of nights. She needs rest but being a tough, independently-minded person is still trying to stay up as late as possible to catch up on a weeks worth of homework, despite being too out of it to do much b/c she's on 3 or 4 different drugs for the next few days.
