Fresh Start

you spend the entire year getting ready for the final run. You get you three man starter rotation and a closeras well as your middle relief set. The whole thing came apart when we should be getting ready for the run. Losing our best starter to injury caused the end of year disaster.

You cannot lose your best starter and the 3rd man in the rotation without suffering what we have seen. Yes we need some bats. However, the most important element is pitching, We had some bad luck.

Injuries definitely hurt this team late in the year but that still doesn't change the fact that the left side of the infield commits a lot of errors and we have had very poor hitting the last 2 years. Our hitting is so weak our defense and pitching has to be perfect to have a chance to win. The defense had been far from perfect this year putting even more pressure on a young staff. Ultimately, this team's problems stem from very week hitting putting pressure on the other parts of the team.
 
okay, so we find out they all hate each other, Tommy can't recruit, Augie refuses to recruit, Tommy can't coach hitting, so ????

Deloss obviously has to tell Augie to get rid of Tommy or Augie is gone?

Is it really that easy to see, or am I missing something?

Does DeLoss care?

I can sure see the pitching coach hating the other two if they refuse/can't recruit. He has to be looking for another job, if nothing happens.

Maybe he should go to Deloss and ask for changes. Nah, then Augie would hate him more, and somehow blame him I guess.
 
At times this year we showed flashes of being a great team. We have core group that are Sophomores. The injuries were pretty devestating to the pitching staff.

Now the type of ball these guys play and what we want to see may be differrent but I think this team and staff can turn it around and be very competitive next year.
