Hey even against FAU 5 ypc is awsome. This is McGee's first start, we didn't run any real cretive plays, and FAU played pretty conservative D the entire game. In later games he will have more confidence and a chance to burn teams on blitzes and with more dynamic play calling. FAU was willing to bleed to death on the score board in exchange for not giving up any long plays.
Also his style is not long juking runs. McGee is a downhill runner. I expect him to make 4 yards a carry not pittle around all game for a 60 yarder at some point. McGee hits the hole hard and moves the pile. He will not make too many highlight reel runs of 80 yards but he will get us first down on third and three.
