sarah does such a great Tina impersonation, I can see where that could easily happen.

We should all keep in mind that television news is not what it used to be, assuming it ever was. Newsrooms are rushed and deadlines are tight and they now have 24 hours to fill with visual stimulation, so mistakes are going to be made.

Of course he won't. I'd give better than even odds Dio was blissfully unaware that little nugget was Tina's and not Sarah's until just now.

another palin thread. ive never seen so much attention given to one person traveling the country by bus. she's doing her job well...making money and making the left foam at the mouth. therapists in ny and la can thank her. their business is probably way up.

There's no disputin' about Putin and Sarah's claims to foreign policy experience — dontcha know.

We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right next to, they are right next to our state.

It's exactly like this, too. Except sometimes Putin blinks really fast and they have wind storms up there.

Please, you complain about this, but there are probably 10 or more stupid threads whining about Obama. Conservatives are such whining, phony tough guys.

Usually these Fox news threads are about FNC portraying President Obama in a negative light with their photos or tag lines, being right-wing shills, yada yada yada.

Can we put that stuff to rest now?

I think they just have some technical people that are a bit careless, plain and simple.

When I was graduating from UT many years back, I had a good friend that was a television major. Back then, none of the local Texas stations would give him the time of day, but he and another friend of his from UT both got jobs from CNN. Perhaps Fox has followed suit by hiring the young and inexperienced folks that might be more prone to such a mistake. I dunno.

Just taking a big picture look at which personality affects more people, let's examine;
1. a woman who was a governor of a smallish populated state who ran as VP on a losing ticket. Who right now has zero absolutely zero power to make any decision that affects Americans
or
2. A person who is the President of the United States who makes decisions that affect all Americans.

Hmm if an intelligent person is asked, " if you had to choose a person who could make make decisions to affect your life to whom you would pay attention?

The fact that there isn't even a thread about Palin's Paul Revere gaffe

there is one a few threads down

Mich
The question was asked why anyone would obsess over Palin and the point was made that right wingers obsess over obama
as if they are equalivalent
and as if no leftist can figure out why people would pay attention to Obama
If you can't figure it out there isn't much more one can say to explain it

General: While I'm certainly not above creating a thread to poke fun of Palin, the thread "Sarah Palin's Great Idea" was instead started to praise the concept of a bus tour stopping at America's historic sites. Our country has a history of good and great people rising to achieve magnificence. The places they worked to become independent, institute Constitutional government and struggled over equality and justice should rightly be visited as history is learned and ideals shared.

"Sarah is your top candidate and hero"

Source? You saying it does not make it so.

and for the record we don't pay attention to Obama because he is YOUR candidate and hero. We pay attention to him over the decisions/ policies he makes.

I understand why anyone would pay attention to Obama. That wasn't the point. You missed the point, likely intentionally.

The point was that general was making a comment about Palin obsession. Coming from someone who is clearly obsessed with every single petty action of Obama, that's a laughable claim. I wasn't suggesting that people should not pay more attention to Obama than Palin, I was making a distinction between paying attention and obsessing. Perhaps that's a distinction you're not grasping.

Dio: any time you see a post with my name on it, just assume I am being sarcastic, not daft.

But I mean what I said about news organizations making mistakes. For some years I had a job that led to regular contact with them, then for a few years I represented media outlets and magazines in defamation cases and I can assure you very few of their stories are particularly accurate.

Google 60 minutes and Audi for an example and then check Dateline and GM gas tanks.

As for Fox, it is a mouthpiece for Rupert Murdoch, who should be deported back to australia and kicked senseless by a kangaroo. So I was not taking up for them based on an ideological kinship---just general incompetence and being in a rush. Plus they have to spend a lot of money keeping their blondes' cleavage just so.
