Fitness/ Weight loss check in!

Doing the no carb thing. Three things:

1. It works. I look and feel better (after 7 days anyway)
2. Cravings are gone, but I am getting tired of ALL protein.
3. It is expensive.

Can anyone help? Either low carb recipes or ways to save money?

Will probably shoot towards South Beach in about three weeks.






How does diet soda keep you from losing weight? I love the stuff. Maybe I should switch to vitamin water.
 
I've lost 17 pounds since Ash Wednesday. I gave up snacking between meals, deserts, and sodas.

My cravings have changed without the sugar intake. I have craved fruit for the first time in my life and vegetables to a lesser degree.

Both the weight loss and the differing tastes have been a real surprise results from what was a personal sacrifice as opposed to a health regimen.
 
Down 15 lbs in the past 45 days (6' 3 currently 200 lbs). My wife and I are both doing the RAVE diet (more of a way of eating/lifestyle than a fad diet). My work outs and cardio are the same, 3 to 4 times per week (1 hr or so each trip to the gym). I drink tons of water and in the mornings I have switched from coffee to organic green tea. We have eliminated meat, dairy (liquid meat) and refined foods (simple carbs). Never felt better in my life in just 45 days.
