First BCS Rankings Are Out

Shouldn’t the SEC champ at least be slotted into the CFP semifinal? Why did we join this sorry conference if it didn’t offer benefits over the B12? SMH!

Trust me fine young man, NOBODY in this entire country is worthy of matching up against the SEC champion in the quarterfinals and has zero chance of winning. Its the same thing as being slotted directly into the semis.

If you've ever played golf, its sort of like that 8' gimme putt when you're playing with your buddies. Just pick the ball up and go on.

I hope this is correct. I'd rather play Clemson than Bama. Not that Clemson would be easy, but Milroe always scares me. And obviously ASU the next round certainly would be a lot better than the quackers or GA.

But Texas absolutely can't keep leaving so many points on the field and beat anyone. Another game yesterday where Texas coulda won by 2 TD's, but ended up giving it away. You can do that against Vandy, Pig and agroid, but not GA.

And damn, you knew that QB draw was coming, no way let let him throw the ball there, but middle of the field wide open. And shoulda been ready for a fake punt too.

Don’t be surprised if Texas is given a tough row to hoe when seedings are announced today.
Oh wait, we’re SEC now so we might catch a break.

People seem to forget that Georgia was seeded in a manner that set up Game 3 if they got through the first round when the most recent bracket was released.

It's already been considered that Texas would have a TV-worthy, yet challenging task...presuming GA got past Indiana.

But...they've now dodged the Indiana bullet. Texas may get that one now...

Are you telling me that Texas may play 4 more games this season?

So....a moral victory?

Hey everyone, don't click any links from mchammer. It appears his account was hacked.

:coolnana:
It’s only relevant when comparing against aggy. Since aggy only knows moral victories, this is the only comparison they can understand.

Conference championship games are now a liability. Texas could fall behind ND who has one loss, but only because Texas played an extra game against a highly ranked Georgia. Smu the same as they could drop out of the playoffs due to the extra game. Texas should be the five seed, but will probably be the six because of the ND effect. Shouldn’t drop below osu because we beat Michigan and they didn’t.

Clemson in Austin and then possibly Arizona State..... Doesn't seem terribly difficult. How good are they against the run?

Joey and Nick are right. Bama shoulda been in over Clemson and SMU. SOS needs to have a much higher weighting. What would SMU's record be had they played an SEC schedule?

We won’t see Georgia again until the title game. Of course we’ll have to get past our old nemesis the Ducks.
If we can’t handle the Taylor ducks we have greater issues than I thought.
What? Oregon ducks? Oh, my bad.
Yea ducks. Yea ducks. We don’t give a quack!!

Somebody will always be left out. Bama losing to Vandy and getting blown out by OU should have been automatic disqualification

Welp! Worse seeding possible. I thought we had escaped the B12 buzz saw this year but now we are heading for the slaughterhouse!

Second year in a row we are number 3 in the final (post conference championship game) BCS rankings. Not too shabby. I am satisfied.

Anybody will be hard to run on when we have only ONE OL. Getting Banks back will double the number of OL, and hopefully he will play like two.

Clemson couldn't handle Jennings (God forbid our defense even tried), but we don't have a mobile QB. (Not saying Arch should start or play, just we can't play to their greatest weakness.)

Texas needs to be able to run block them with a modicum of success. 150 or more rushing might be enough. When Texas gets the run game going, the typical "3 high" defense starts to break down some.
