Fire Shaka!

I think Smart has been a lot more lenient about playing freshmen than Barnes ever was. Hell, Turner was basically our 6th man for most of the games last year and became a 1st round NBA pick.

Lammert can't battle for a rebound if his life was on the line.....those facts are undeniable

Lammert saw a major decline in his overall production his Jr. year compared to his So. season and he was indeed a liability on Barnes Zone D. He had slow feet and was undersized. But this, this is a different season and a different system. He's added 15lbs of mass and he's gotten quicker.

He's always been consistent in his offensive sets. He's always been good at setting screens and he's always been good with the ball in his hands. He makes crisp passes and doesn't commit stupid turnovers.

If you watch his film, his 6pts avg. a game are usually from behind the arc and he converts them at key points in games when momentum shifts. His 5 boards a game are usually defensive, and again, at crucial points in games during momentum changes.

Jury is still out on Felix. I was admittedly a huge critic of his last season. I'm happy to be eating crow now looking at his production so far, but, there's a lot of season left.
