The UNM baseball team was on the local Albuquerque news last week. The coach seemed pretty excited about playing Texas to open the season. I've only lived here six months but one the guys here at work said UNM has a new coach who is in his 2nd or 3rd season and the team has improved considerably since his arrival. I saw they swept aggy at collie station last year and they've scheduled some decent non-conference games with Stanford, NE, TT & aggy last year and UT, USC, AR & AZ this year.

I'd still like one of those shirts to wear to games this season. Still remember seeing that ball going out and thinking, "damn, just another long liner to left for another easy...OUT OF HERE!!!" What a freakin' night that was and was an amazing fortnight that ended so painfully.

Coulda missed the pain, but I'd a had to miss the dance.

Don't like these tiny pics. One more time...

I discovered this year in Omaha that my longball eyes are worthless. I remember cursing a blue streak when Rupp or Moldenhomer hit the ball to dead centre - think Rupp got that one but I saw so many dang Longhorn home runs in Rosenblatt last year.... I thought it was a pop out. That was the one that cleared the monster and landed in Iowa!?!
