F1/Okie State game still on collision course

Diablo, the motel will still come out ahead after you pull your business. First the room you pay $59.99 for one night will go for $3-$400+ per night with a 3 night minimum. Then they will still rent it out for the Texas games at $59.99 per night.

Well, I actually prefaced with the hotels probably wouldn't care and ended with probably wouldn't matter. But I would give it a shot anyway, you never know.
I know prior to the Sugar Bowl back in 1995, I was told by the hotel chain that I used exclusively for my employees that my rewards were no good for use in New Orleans that week because "All the rooms were reserved".
I picked up the phone and called the chain letting them know that we would be changing hotels after the first of the year due to me not being able to get a room in New Orleans.
Less than thirty minute later, rooms were available for me at my corporate rate. So sometimes reservations can be made even after "all the rooms have been reserved".
Other than the outcome of the game, we had a great time.

Also, I dont stay in cheap motels. Not saying I didn't when I was alot younger, though. When we went to the Sun Bowl in 78, the motel in El Paso was something to forget.

When I lived in Dallas, by midseason, Longhorn games are Day trips. Especially, if there are 3-4 games in a row that I am going to including OU. It is going to be tough but hey what a great sports weekend in Austin!!

Also, MWA, many stay with family or friends. The hotel crunch is not what some seem to think it is for a Horn game. But it is all that and more with F1 and at top dollar.

Oh, crap. Now I have to endure the weekend with family and friends staying with me. I had not thought of that possibility. Cancel F1 Now!
