I presumed it happened on one or both of his QB scrambles. The first one was near the sideline and the other in middle of the field.
Maybe he will learn this time.Regardless of which play did it, I hope they stress sliding in the future. I admire his willingness to lower the shoulder against that big dude, but you know, we don't need that from him.
Maybe he will learn this time.
And Sam EhlingerHope so. Leave the manhood stuff to the rest of the team.
Sam was a fullback playing QB. He was built differently. And Sam Ehlinger
Just kidding but that guy could bring the pain on a DB once in a while

That could very well happen. And agree that would be a great problem to have. I love QE big time but just maybe another guy shows us something on a whole higher level. One of my friends hypothesized that if you Ewers doesn’t come back in two or three weeks, he may never again play for Texas, as many have speculated about Caleb Williams (shutting it down). I hope that’s not true because my observations aside, Ewers is a very good quarterback who has mostly played well for this team.
Of course, if Murphy or Manning play very well in his absence, a desirable conundrum will be created for Sark. We should be so lucky…
A few thoughts. First, if Ewers was hurt earlier, then Sark should have leaned on the running game with few, if any, rpo type looks and more direct hand-offs to Brooks and Baxter (who finally looked healthy). Brooks was money on more downhill runs especially off tackle with his cut back ability and Baxter showed quickness through the hole, especially on the td run. No excuses for Sark. Second, I have seen a number of comments on the web that Texas is in trouble with Murphy at qb based on his two passes in the game with the first just after coming off the bench cold. Mitchell was open, but the timing wasn't there. It may be a struggle or Murphy may take off after a week of work with the first team knowing he is the starter. One advantage this coming week is that BYU has no idea what Murphy's tendencies may be like they would have with Ewers. Third, the next two games and possibly more are all on the shoulders of the o-line (and the defense, but this thread is more offense related). Open holes and give Murphy some time especially early to give him confidence. The receivers need to help the young qb and fight to get open and fight for the ball in the air. Murphy will have to develop some touch and know when to put some air under the pass. He has a big arm and can throw it on a line 25-30 yards downfield. However, if you do that everyone between you and the receiver has a shot at the ball.
I didn't think Malik was that fast. He's huge but does he have decent top end speed. QE actually showed some good wheels this year like on the 29 yd TD he had.Sam was a fullback playing QB. He was built differently.
Maalik and Arch can both turn and burn, so hopefully the only part a defender will hit on them is turf dust. LOL
It looks to me like, when Murphy gets in the game, he is over amped. His first pass is always a complete bullet, like he's hit a turbo button on his arm. It's not just based on 2 passes. It's every time he played this season. He just hasn't looked good at all
I like the RPO ability he has, as you mentioned. If we have to retool the offense mid season, that's bad news ( o line coordination included, maybe Sabre or hornDE68 can correct me) but in this case we'll need to believe in sark putting together a game plan that fits his qb
