Everman DB Corey Fullbright Paralyzed

Sorry to be so long getting back over. My class was very eager to do something to help Corey feel better. They worked on a big card for him, and then individual letters too. I had to wait to mail them, as one 8-year old wanted to get his buffy bear to send along with the cards. They also wanted to pitch in some money. I just put their change in the box in an envelope, rather than writing a check for it. It made them feel more like they had really participated in the collection. We (25 7- and 8-year olds) got in a circle and prayed for him before we dismissed.

Great job soonerone. One thing all of us can do, no matter our college affiliation, is support high school kids who participate in extra curricular activities. Unfortunately in this case our support has turned cheers into tears, but the support still remains and you and your kiddos have done a wonderful thing. Let your kids know that folks across the state of Texas and beyond appreciate what they have done.
 
Sorry, Republicans (I'm one also), but stem cell research does not to need to be illegal. period (i didn't repeat myself). If it can get this kid walking, I don't care how many "lives" are taken in a petry dish.
 
I don't think it's illegal yet, but they're pushing for it to be. I don't want to get off on that tangent... That's an entirely different thread for Quacken's. Please someone post an update on this kid as soon as anything new is released.
 
Yes, any updates would be good. My Dad heard some very minor positive things through the coaching grapevine. I won't post them here until someone in the know confirms them but I sure hope they are true. I would just l;ike to repeat that what progress he got word of was very minor but anything positive at this point would be nice to hear.
 
Updates on Corey's condition will be appreciated. I am more interested in knowing that he is out of the woods as far as this being a life threatening injury. As far as the paralysis is concerned while any good news will be appreciated, I expect Corey to have a long term rehab. God Bless you Corey and your family.

Corey's immediate condition is the first thing to get through,please let us know,no matter what. Our prayers are with Corey and his family.
 
Prayers can be very very powerful. I know an former aggie player was paralized while in the NFL. he is walking now. certainly a prais to God.

Thanks for the update, micah. My concern was for his immediate physical health since the last info I had was he was still in critical condition. I realize any improvement in his paralysis will be over a very long period of time. My prayers for Corey and his family will continue. May God Bless them all.
