Please pray for Evangel Academy/First Assembly of God in Shreveport. For those that don't know they have been named in a lawsuit involving allegations of impropriety between a 15 year old student (girl) and a coach there, and a subsequent "cover-up". This is the school Chase and Cole Pittman attend/ed.
I do not know all the facts in this case, but I do know that the enemy of all our souls wants to use this circumstance to attempt to discredit the gospel message. And I do know there's more than one side to the story.
I just got off the phone with Pastor Denny Duron's secretary, and let her know that we're praying for them here in Austin. My wife knew Denny Duron in the late 70s at La Tech in Ruston, and knows him to be an outstanding man of God who is now in an incredibly difficult situation.
Pastor Duron's secretary read me a letter from a Baptist church in Shreveport (they sent it today), lifting up all those involved in prayer, and asking that God's name be glorified through all this. Please pray for all those involved.
