Ethics and Morality

Is someone immoral because they use plastic straws instead of those paperish ones? Today's Puritans would say "yes they are." Then they'd try to implement some measure of shame--their most beloved weapon.

How about unethical?

Of course shame only works when the person being shamed gives a f@ck about what others think of him.
 
At the risk of going out on a limb I'll say I do not think it immoral to say to someone vulnerable that they look nice or they are wearing something nice when you do not particularly think so. No I'm not talking about "does this dress make me look fat" type of vulnerability.
