Errors

Time to update the numbers in this thread after over two weeks of serious problems on many fronts. I guess errors used to be our primary problem, but we have been bad at pretty much everything for most of the last dozen or so games... But anyway, let us update the error numbers.

From 51 errrors in 29 games, we have now gone to 67 in 42 games. 16 errors in the last 13 games. There is a little improvement there, I guess. 46 errors in 23 non-conference games.

In the conference games, we have 21 errors in 19 games, which is actually quite fine. Many conference losses have also been due to a lot of other things not being done right.

The players have no confidence in each other much less themselves. They are offically head cases now.

You are absolutely right - they are all great athletes, but seem to all be a mental case right now. I think Augie needs to get his head on & get them mentally straightened out. It all comes down to giving the players a very positive attitude. I think the episode of "kicking people off of the team" was about as stupid as it could get! What are you telling your players? Screw up & your off the team? The leadership begins at the very top!

There are alot of very talented players that have been overlooked by many MLB teams because of their head cases.

21 errors in the last 19 games. So we have got some control of the error problem, quite evidently.

In the conference, we have 26 errors in 24 games. 46 errors in the 24 non-conf games.
