emailing mack brown

when I need him I usually just flip on a spot light with a big horn's logo in the center.

5-10 minutes later and he rides in on his vince young shaped motorcycle.

Well, mudrat and houstonhorn counsel me to go visit, in
person. That probably is not exactly easy. I imagine that
Mack has other things to do than visit with me whenever
I want to drop in.
Of course if either of you will open the door and announce
that I am "here" and ready to congratulate him on providing
a photo-op to the guy who, daily, yes, daily, calls our
Pres. every name in the book --- that same Pres, who, as
Gov, befriended Mack and helped him acclimate to UT --
well, yeah, I'd like to say that this type of "repaying friendship"
kinda ain't how we do it in Texas. Forget political affiliations
or inclinations, shoving an enemy in the face of a guy who
has tried to help Mack just reeks of crap.
If you don't think that Obama won't use these photos some-
where, with the implication that UT/Mack are on his 'team'
is naive.
Several posters above have made the very valid point
that if Mack wanted his guys to "experience" something,
blah, blah, blah, he could have done it WITHOUT allowing
the photos. Mack didn't. And by doing it this way, he has
given Obama a political plug. And that is crap.

If you're going to email a complaint to Mack about inviting Obama and Clinton to visit the UT Football facilities, then I'm sorry that I gave you that link.

I'm about as liberal as Ted Nugent and there was absolutely nothing wrong with what Mack did. ANY positive national publicity that Mack can get for our program is a great thing. When a reporter tried to ask a political question of Obama during the tour, Mack shot 'em down and told that reporter it was inappropriate.

Mack's a good man and he was being a gracious host as all TRUE Texans should be (I realize Mack's from Tennessee)

FWIW, I've exchanged emails with Kasey Johnson, his assistant, and she's very responsive and patient with following up on even the most inane question.

Do you think if McCain wanted to come hang out in the locker room and put it on national TV Mack wouldn't take advantage of it?

Even if this was politically motivated on Mack's part, which it wasn't, do you really think that Mack owes Bush loyalty because he "befriended him and helped him acclimate to UT?"

Mack: " Hey Georgie, I know you got nearly 4000 of our finest troops killed in an unnecessary war based on lies, but no big deal. After all, you did invite me to the governor's mansion and flash a few hook 'ems for the press, so what the hell... You can count on my unconditional support."
