Assault isn't speech. There are already laws against assaulting people. This is like hate crime laws that the Left proposes. But now the Right likes it when the laws are for a certain group. It's hypocrisy. It's why I rejected conservatism years ago.

Any person or group who assaults another person should be arrested and charged. If a group of people continually ASSAULT or harass people in the name of "protesting" they should NOT be allowed to gather. Just like those dumbasses blocking roads or highways. That's not free speech. I don't care what color your skin is nor who you are "fighting for".
How the hell did you get to hate crimes? The term hate crime is stupid because all violent crimes are hate crimes.
Further, only one side does it and gets away with it (leftists on campus). I could accept a more expansive version of free speech (shutting down parts of society) if it was applied evenly. But, it’s not applied evenly. So, where we are now is that the left creates these rules to be used against the right. Now the right is applying the same rules to the left.
And folks like Monahorns think it is practical to let the left continue to run roughshod over everyone else. This is why there are no libertarian societies: libertarians open the door for leftists to control everything.

I agree with you here.
Laws set up to punish behavior based on who is being aggressed against is a hate crime, whether it is about blacks, Asian, or Jews. We already have laws against assault and public disorder. Attaching a racial group to it takes it away from simple justice to racial bias for one group over another.

I don't think this is an accurate picture of the situation. The issue at hand is leftists harassing Jewish students. Those Jewish students are not "the right". They are also far far leftists by a vast majority. This is an internecine struggle that the right should sit out. No matter how much Republicans write new laws biased towards Jewish people, they aren't going to vote Republican or become right wing. They will still be faithful stormtroopers for the woke movement, by and large.
That is not how I think. I think we don't need specific laws to favor Jewish students. We need those in power to enforce current laws against violence and disorder, and apply the law not in respect to racial concerns but equally to all races and groups.
Funny thing to say about libertarians, because Republicans and conservatives have either increased the size of government directly or given up the whole game to the Left. They have conserved absolutely nothing and do the same things as the Democrats about 80% of the time.
How the hell is Texas NOT on that list?
To quote one of our senior administrators in a face-to-face meeting: "Wrong last name, wrong color"

If public school teachers really love teaching so much, and love the children, why don't they support the vouchers? They could take jobs in private schools where learning, and teaching, conditions are typically MUCH, MUCH BETTER...? In that way, they could be doing what they love (teaching) more effectively and in a MUCH better environment.
