My grandfather had a farm and I saw him kill a chicken by grabbing it around the neck and swinging it around in the air in a circle until its head came off. Then the chicken ran around on the ground for about 20 seconds without a head. That freaked me out, because I was like 8 years old. Then I watched my grandmother yank all the feathers out of the chicken, which was really gross.

But once they fried that bad boy up---umm, umm, good!

I just got back from lunch at Himalaya on Hillcroft and 59... had a delicious Goat Keema... a glorious Pakistani version of chili with enough heat to keep you going. Simply delicious. I could never give that up. I did enjoy some lentils, too, so hopefully that will make the vegetarians on this board happy.

Rico - The dumb thing you posted was that by buying free-range products the consumer is somehow screwing the little guy. That is actually OPPOSITE of the truth. If more consumers went to local farmers' markets and bought free-range meats, they will be buying FROM THE LITTLE GUY!!!

The only people hurt when consumers go from chemically-ridden factory meat to more humanely raised meat are big factory farms....those aren't the little guys.

I continue to urge you to educate yourself about meat, how much we need (if any), and the effects of eating meat and the chemicals in meat.

Johnny, you should really look at yourself in the mirror. You continually screw the little guy over buy buying meat and produce directly from them. Think about the consequences of your actions. If everybody bought from the little guy then there would be none left. Oh wait.......
