Are you a moron Black Ninja? The sunshine pumpers are pointing to a Top 10 recruiting class that even hasn't stepped on the floor for Texas yet! Plus, they are banking on the return of Cokie back from a season long injury! NO WAY TEXAS IS TOP 25 MATERIAL RIGHT NOW!

Lets see some action first before bestowing some needed recognition on this team! I can see this again where we elevate expectations only to see them crash like kamikaze on our program

I could ask the same question of you? I'm not the one who stated that Texas should but shouldn't be ranked in the PRE-season Top 25. I'm still a little curious why you're shocked that Creme would consider Texas a Top 25 team also. We get it that you don't think Texas is a Top 25 team, but the fact that you can't acknowledge some of the circumstances of this previous season makes me question if you can think in a logical manner.

Seattle just when I think your actually being objective, you make a few posts that prove me wrong. I understand your frustration but clearly you've never watched a program be restored. You are basically saying (IMO) that you are very impatient. Nothing happens overnight. And like bab pointed out every season there has been steady progression. With last year being the exception. Just step back amd look objectively and look at numbers throughout her entire tenure and not just last year. Cokie was our Maya moore. Take her off uconn and their record looks entirely different. And are you implying a season long injury like that means she could come back worse? I beg to differ because I hear she has gotten into even better shape and improved her jump shot. So it could turnout to be a blessing.

And you are not sure why vopel would "put her on a pedestal" could be her 479 wins and 4 final four appearances? Or the perfect regular season she had. Or her 12 conference titles she won in the Acc which used to be tougher than the big 12 for a long time. Or her 21 coach of the year awards. Take your pick. Any coach will tell you that it takes 4-5 years to build a program. She's well ahead of schedule in my book

This thread was originally about Creme's pre-season poll, and nothing else. If you think about it, it's about his look into the future, through his eyes. I didn't bring anything else into the equation.

You ask 100 people a simple question such as, "Are you happy that your team is pre-season top 25?". 99 of them would be happy about that; only our bitter poster on here would say they are unhappy about it.

Go figure. If you can't bring yourself to be happy about that, I got nothing for you in this thread.

I'm not a moron either, however just a curiosity question...how did you feel about the Goestenkors hire?? I can semi-understand your frustration, however the way you go about making your argument makes it sound like you were not a big fan of the hire at the time.

Just a few things…..

I saw quite a few cows this weekend and that made me laugh.

I don’t get it Seattle. You complain that people blast you for giving your opinions. Then when others give theirs you call them a fool or a moron. Seems like you are doing the very thing that you rail against by attacking people personally just because they don’t agree with you. It’s a free board, but this all seems a little ironic to me. I’m not sure it will prove to be an effective way to influence people.

These rankings are opinions. We have the same thing going on here. Someone has an opinion that is different from yours so you want to blast them. Comes off like some knee jerk and thoughtless reaction.

It seems to me your arguments would be better served by arguing that Texas should be ranked, and expectations should be high, while still believing that those expectations will not be met……because you think Texas has a coach that doesn’t know what she is doing.

Personally I think you argue just for the sake of the argument. I’m fine with that. I love a good argument. But, it would be easier to take an opposing viewpoint if I could ever really get a handle on exactly what side you are taking.
