Earl has Has Surgery

I worked with Alfred Jackson, Earl's roommate, one summer and got to hang out with them a couple of times.

An outstanding individual.

Prayers for a speedy recovery and rehabilitation. Would be great to see him walk out onto the field at DKR under his own power and without pain.
 
In my student days, I was standing by the Drag at noon, staring at my feet, waiting to cross Guadalupe to the Co-op. It was sunny, but the sun went dim all of a sudden like in an eclipse. I turned around and there he stood, smiling, and said, "How's it going?".

So went my brief brush with greatness. He truly has been a force of nature.

I've seen him in person twice--said hi

Once coming off a racketball court at the stadium and the other when I worked at the Erwin center and was asked to escort Willie and Earl to the stage-- they sang a couple of songs with Merle-- New Years ever 92 I want to say
