You can't get rid of synchronized swimming! It's awesome.

In fact, we need more synchronized events. We need the synchronized 100 meter sprint. Synchronized pentathlon. Synchronized soccer.

Funny how many nations want to keep the soprts in that can be judged (i.e. fixed) while eliminating the sports where the outcomes are less subjective.

i've actually been bemoaning the inability of nbc to show me some more obscure **** like shooting and archery. i would love to watch that ****. and i enjoyed synchronized diving. i love me some soccer, but nbc has one channel devoted to it, and meanwhile some of their dedicated olympic channels go completely off at times. these are the times i want to see shooting, archery, weightlifting, etc. great events, imo.

Equestrian. The only athlete on the field is the horse. Yet they give the gold medal to some English duchess whose only skill is sitting on a saddle for 3 minutes.

IMO, if only .01% of the world's population can afford to participate, it shouldn't be an Olympic sport. (Maybe that's why golf never made it.)
