Down a RB?

No man, every news source said he was transferring.
It is reasonable to believe so many sources
Yep...
But a lot of these modern day "journalists" just rush to copy other people's stories so as not to appear irrelevant or behind the news....They arent really doing any investigative research themselves.
...That would take work

The "sources" being cited in every follow up story are the original story and it just snowballs. In the twitter age its better to be fast and wrong than to wait and not say anything and be right.

Blue was a head case at Klein Cain. Tried to fight the coaches, etc. He tried to come back to play his senior year, but the team said no. His own teammates didn’t want him back and they made the playoffs without him.

And yet we recruited him. Nice work, coaching staff

Why? No coach is beholden to a commitment to a previous hc. That's on sark, not herman
Goes to the argument of, are they committing to a coach, or to the school? I think it’s classy for the incoming HC to honor commitments made by their predecessor. Do they have to do so? No? Should they? I certainly think so.

THIS!
Many of these so called "journalists" don't even have enough commitment to their craft to proofread their work, let alone do any actual investigation.

If there were red flags present, drop him like a hot potato. Wasted schollie

I had a Texas high school coach tell me that a new D1 coach came in and pulled an offer from one of his players. He said "I'll never let that school on my campus again."

This is stupid since the chances of the student eventually accepting is 20% at best. Plus, throw in a new staff and the chances become 10%. The 10% chance is reserved for players who want to go to that school regardless. Why turn them down? They will play hard for you and not be the leader of a mutiny. It’s scary that people this stupid exist.

mc,

There are plenty of HS that certain coaches were not allowed to set foot on. No facts, but my guess is Jackie set the record for the most.

WE have had alums call HS coaches and tell them to boycott our program.

College football: where head coaches suck up to coaches on a lower level.

Guess the HS coach in the story above is happy being a HS coach.

What an odd 1984 esque pretend-nothing-happened reversal. Shades of George Constanza too.

Surprised we offered, given all that.

I realize prevailing winds in this thread are against Blue but I’m glad he’s apparently sticking around and it’s entirely possible he’s grown past the immature antics from his 17 year-old high school junior self. I’m hoping he competes zealously for #2 slot behind Brooks.

I agree, the kid is a Longhorn and a good one. With JB out with hernia surgery, he and Keilan are the only ones available for spring practice. He should be a key player in the offense this year.

I believe Cedric Baxter was an early entry in January. He may leave everybody in the dust.
