Reports are that Jaydon Blue has scrubbed UT from ALL his social media. Blue got exactly 0 snaps during the Alamo Bowl with Bijan & Roshan both sitting out. Hate to see this but can't say I'm surprised.
 
Shame he didnt get a few carries. Disappointed to learn he appears to be on the way out.

Instead of sticking it out to see if you can really compete for the job and get meaningful snaps or even become the starter, you bail. That is becoming the new normal.

Roshon didnt leave when he was moved from QB to RB. He stuck with it, worked very hard and is now headed to the NFL.

The Portal (and NIL) will continue to rob teams of talented depth. This is the unfortunate result of Free Agency coming to college football.

This would be very disappointing and unfortunate if true. He would have gotten a ton of work starting this spring. Losing the two bell cows this year plus KR being a senior, only leaves JB as the returner with the ability to run inside.
Hopefully he stays.

This kid bailed out on his Senior season in HS. If...IF he is bailing out on us after one season, should we really be all that surprised?
 
This does not surprise me…at all. My fear is Brooks. What is he supposed to think? He’s supposedly the heir apparent and he should be, yet he had 6 carries in the Alamo Bowl.

Call me worried. In fact, I have been worried about this since the 29th.
 
I'm not surprised because he hasn't really done anything at all at Texas. Brooks has outshined him completely. His stat line reads 15 rushes for 33 yards at 2.2 yards per carry and a long of 10 yards. If he's disappointed he didn't get a shot in the Alamo Bowl, imagine how the starters felt getting 6 and 8 carries respectively. Even I was disappointed.

If he leaves good luck to him.
 
SN-Kind of sounds like our QB huh? I cant blame blue after Sark not playing him during the Alamo Bowl. Made no sense. Robinson is not going to be a power back. He has good speed and that is it.
 
This really sounds like he is getting "advice" from the fake Rolex, "sorry kid we can't take my Mercedes (because three repo men are looking for it) crowd. I don't know if that's what happened at Cain or not, but I do know he asked to rejoin the team and the team voted him down.

I hope he stays and contributes, but the last thing this group needs is another prima dona disruption.

Roschon did not get moved to RB, but rather when the team was short RBs for practice, he removed his QB protection shirt and told Herman, "I can play RB".

Blue would get carries next year, but if he is concerned about competing- then he needs to move on.
Can someone tell him he also must compete there as well.
This is the time where the starting RB position is wide open and if he can’t play at UT, he’ll struggle at a P5 school.
Stay kid, learn resilience… it’s lost on our youth.
Or fine kids- go to UTSA, SFA or Vandy.
I’m tired of this childish.. I quit behavior


Also- it could be that he has no plans on transferring and my comments are to any kid at any college. Grow up, life is about overcoming adversity.

Also- Herman moving on to other opportunities resulted in QE going to his dream school.

I get being disappointed about not getting a single carry. I get if he ends up wanting to take his time to look over other options, and I get if he transfers. The modern passive aggressive trend of saying something vague online while changing all your statuses, profile pics, etc, is pretty silly.

You do have a point. The upside is that social media provides a window into the player’s thinking which could be good. A window that was not available before platforms like Twitter. We — and the coaching staff — are getting a window into the players mind, a perspective that may not otherwise have been available. A perspective that doesn’t go through a filter, like his HC or a reporter.

Specifically on Brooks, if indeed he tweeted “only 6,” I’m glad he did. Sark needs to get the message, which might be “use him or lose him.”

Blue was a head case at Klein Cain. Tried to fight the coaches, etc. He tried to come back to play his senior year, but the team said no. His own teammates didn’t want him back and they made the playoffs without him.

Yep, no big loss IMO. Have Baxter and Wisner coming in. Would hate to lose Brooks though. Sark better let him know he's the man for 2023.

When McWilliams,Machovic,Strong and Herman were our football coaches, I on occasion, “scrubbed” some of my UT stuff also when I was disappointed with some lost games.LOL
We will see if this means he is leaving. I didn’t.
