D'Onta Foreman

Sadly, too many have had talent or at least a modicum of ability but piss away the second, third, fourth and fifth chances...I expect he will be a back-up somewhere this season and then bounce around practice/pre-season squads for a few years before landing in an arena league.
XFL - Stoops will pick him up for the Dallas team.

According to some of the local radio guys, this was not a one-time incident but rather a pattern of behavior. They indicated he was often late to practice, was always the last in line for drills, had "poor body language," things of this nature. Also, his dad indicated him playing at home meant he had too many old friends hanging around. So maybe getting another chance in another city will be the cure?

Unfortunately, my hometown (not unlike others) has some subhuman, neverwas wannabes that create an incredibly negative atmosphere for professional athletes. Hope D'Onta is able to shed those pieces of ****, and create a great career somewhere else.

If I sound bitter, I am, those worthless pieces of **** cost me a good friend.

I get this but isn’t the individual ultimately responsible for his own behavior? If a kid from Houston doesn’t get the message after watching what happened to Houston’s hometown hero, VY, there might not be much hope that the message will ever get through.

The Texans couldn’t manage a rock fight. Don’t be surprised if he is a stud somewhere else.

Way to go GM O'Brien. Give up Foreman and get nothing in return. Trade fourth rd. draft pick for a guy with a hamstring problem. Looking forward to the Colts games this year.

I thought he should have stayed for his senior season for the team, but that is just me and my idea of honoring a commitment. However, after this year's injury, he will have missed almost 2 seasons out of 4 with injuries. If he cannot hang with Indy for a couple of injury-free years, he will be done in the NFL.

I hope daddy hasn't spent all of his money.

Well, it'd of help if Charlie didn't run him 50 times in a game. Who wants to stay for that?

Yeah, who wants to showcase durability in a manner that increases early career earning potential...to say nothing of maybe showing an ability to break some long runs on a regular basis and maybe head to the draft carrying a little trophy.

True. Yet had Charlie not inexplicably pulled him too early in the 2016 Tech game (after 33 carries), Foreman would have set the Texas single game record, and he might have broken the 400 yard barrier. He finished with 341. It annoyed the heck out of me at the time, and it still does today.

Strong was probably instructed to do so....couldn’t have Ricky’s record blemished by an undeserving player. Same thing happened with the running back from Denison (forget his name). Was gold down by the goal line and scored double digit tds his junior year, putting him in rare company for total rushing tds. Senior year role diminished fewer touches less touches so rushing touchdown leader list has all time great longhorns only.
