Most doctors don't have the first clue how to balance their books and do whatever the insurer tells them to do. Doctors are too worried about milling patients through their office at some freakish rate in order to get whatever pennies they can from an insurer. Then the doctor complains a little and the insurer sends them some garbage statistics that affirmatively prove that lawyers are directly responsible for the ever rising premiums . . . and because doctors are stupid, they send in their application to Texans for Lawsuit Reform. Insurance companies don't believe in free enterprise, they believe in their enterprise. They don't give a damn about doctors or patients.

And holy crap, reading my email makes me think I'm insane, but whenever I hear some idiot doctor talk about how evil lawyers are it bugs the crap out of me. I'm the son of a doctor, I worship the doctor that delivered my children, I'm the biggest right wing republican nutjob out there - but this pretentious garbage is ridiculous. Doctors go to work to put food on the table for their kids. They don't do it because of some higher calling. Lawyers go to work and sue the **** out of bad actors with deep pockets because I want to put 40% of those deep pockets on the table for my kids - not because of some higher calling. There are crappy doctors like there are crappy lawyers.

It's really sad. I saw two or three of them holding signs at an intersection today. One said, "Will work for $180,000."
