Jeez.. Looking at the picture of Kyle Field from above, the only conclusion you can come to is:

Kyle Field is so ugly. I mean seriously ugly. The design and proportions look *** backward.

I am trying to disassociate my obvious ingrained bias here, and when i do, it still looks like a POS.

I know, I was just about to mention that posting pyle field in this thread makes it look even worse (if that's possible).

And on a side note, these pictures blew through 25GB of bandwidth in less than 3 days. Ouchie.

Their is no way you guys think Kyle Field is that incredbly ugly. Get real it is a football stadium not a beauty contest auditorum.

No, it really is ugly. The Zone looks like it was designed by a third grader who got stuck with all of the mismatched Legos from the toy box. The grandstands on the east/west sides are ok, but should have allowed for more room. Instead of the Zone, they should have planned something that connected and matched the grandstands, not a behemoth piece of **** that they might connect at a later date.

Question: Name any other football stadium in the country that has three distinct built sections and of those three sections, the end zone section is the largest.

Answer: None.

Reason: Because that would be stupid.

They don't call it the Tackle Box for nothing. I mean really...just look at the arial photo...it's a tackle box.

And while this has nothing to do with how it looks - how stupid was it to build the the new sections where you can't see the back half of the nearest endzone from the top of the Zone? Stupid and ugly all at once.

BTW, I think Fighttxag (or whatever his name is) must really be a Horn in disguise. Not even aggy can be so dumb....at least I don't think so.

re: Brick color.

I think the reason the brick color on the new section looks lighter is it still has mortar dust on it. One of the last activities on the exterior brick will be to acid wash it which I think will darken it up to match existing.

I've sat in the wooden south endzone bleachers my last 2 trips to kyle and looking at the huge zone and then looking at the field was wierd. The zone is wider than the sideline stands so my brain and eyes felt like the stadium should be running the other way.

For the bonfire game in 99 we sat at the top of the zone and had to look at the jumbotron when the teams were inside the 5 yardline.

Yes, kyle is ugly and poorly designed.
