Well I would love to tell you what is happening but my now one day old radio subcription for baseball audio on texassports won't sign in and I have tried on two different browsers.

Tech evened their series with #7 Indiana with a 10-5 win in Lubbock.

Peters will get the start today for Texas and will have to see if the line-up changes. I would think it might.

Anybody out got the audio up on their subscription or listining to 1300 am?
 
Well now the page just changed from baseball feed started 7 minutes ago to baseball in two minutes. It's a rough start to the new season in many ways it seems.

Now it says the feed has started but still won't sign in.
 
I emailed Sidearm and they now have a note up on the site saying they are working on getting the game on.

I see things haven't changed sound or no sound. Stranding runners. Payton hits and nobody picks him up.

I am lacking in patience today as I got up at dawn and watched team USA beat the Ruskies in hockey 3-2 in an exciting game that went to overtime and 8 shootout attempts on goal before it was decided.

It was nice seeing the look on Boris "Bad Enuff" Putin's face when the USA won.

Now I am doing hockey commentary, it has been a rough start to baseball season.

Meanwhile back at Texas Longhorn Media Player the little circle continues to go round and round like the "Wheels on the Bus", in this case the short bus.

I guess you get what you pay for or maybe not.

In other news OU just came from behind in Stillwater to beat OSU still without Smart, 77-74 to keep the Pokes in a nose dive.
 
Comrade loop loves this result as he is able to console all the strong and not so strong Russian women.

Then later he will console all Asian and Latin women whose teams go down in World Cup soccer play.

He already made an attempt to cheer up the Japanese Women's Curling Team after they lost to the US a couple of nights ago. He didn't have the same stone issues that they had.
 
Now Sidearm informs us that the entire double header will not be available today. Technology at it's finest.

I used to work in radio and I remember being on a site unscrewing the receiver on the phone and putting "alligator clips" on the connectors. We would then broadcast a game or whatever over the phone line like a call.

All these years later and we can't get a game streamed?

At least it worked till a new operator came on board and closed the phone line thinking it had been left open by mistake.

I have the Cal radio feed and I think they are only doing the first game. It's sounds like two RTF kids announcing the game. I remember those days at UT. Whatever happened to Ray Banks?

Well it beats the old Simon and Garfunkle "Sounds of Silence.."
 
Ok, I will do it from here. I don't know if I can though without Way telling stories about six man football or Little's musings.

I do have two Cal college kids that are getting the names and positions wrong of Texas players.

So with two outs in the top of the fifth, Payton singles to center. So what's new?

Hinojosa up and singles to right and Payton moves around to third.

Two on and and two out for Barrera

Barrera K's swinging on as the RTF guys describe as a "gnarley" breaking ball. Dude that like retires the side.

Bottom of five tied at 1 at "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" field.
 
Did Way stay in Cali for today or did he fly into Austin for the basketball game? It might be a good thing that the radio feed is down. No one should have to listen to Bill Little for that long.

A shallow fly to right is out two.

A soft liner to third is out three to retire the side.

Game tied 1-1 after five complete.

They even play retro sixties music on this station between innings, this really is Berkley.
 
Way flew out to do bounce ball.
Roger Wallace is doing the play by play for entire game with ancient sounding Bill Little on the "color".
 
McGuire leads off the sixth for Texas with a walk.

Montalbano up trying to bunt the runner over, but can't get it down and the count runs full and he K's looking for out one.

Montalbano didn't like the call.

Clemens up with one down waits in the box as multiple pick off throws go to first to no avail. Now Clemens steps out of the box and doen't have time granted and takes a strike.
Now he gets back in the box and takes strike three for out two.

Johnson up again is responsible for the only run of this season for Texas with a SF. He lines out to short to retire the side as the kiddos make fun of our fans for doing hookem signs and being loud before the error barrage yesterday.

Oh well, we will suffer till we start beating people the slings and arrows of the opposition.

To the bottom of six tied at 1-1.
 
Peters still on the hill for Texas in the sixth faces the nine hole hitter Bruno.

A soft liner falls in center for a lead off single.

The lead of hitter Campbell is up trying to move the runner over. He does just that and now the lead run is on second with one away.

Reuvecamp is up for Cal and grounds out to Hinojosa on a close play at first for out #2.

Runner holds at second as Pearson is up for Cal and he lines a single to Center and Payton comes up throwing and the runner holds at third.

So the DH Rodriguez is up with runners on the corners and two down. Big hitter for Peters and Texas here. A fly ball to left gets Peters out of the jam.

To the 7th now still tied at 1-1.
