Democrat Debate

No, they will not - unless Joe bows out which I doubt will happen but others (much more knowledgeable than I am) believe he will do.

I don't see the value for Joe of a debate. All he has to tell other Dems is, "I won the presidency." A debate makes him look weaker.

A lot of Independents and Democrats are worried that Biden is senile. His campaign has to do something to pull the wool over their eyes if he wants to stay in the game.
I am not worried that Biden is senile.

I am, rather, absolutely certain of it.

Ben Franklin said “Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, and which incorporates itself with the grapes to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy!”

This quote has been bastardized over time to "Beer is proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy!”

How does that apply to this thread? Well, it strikes me that Democrats are among the primary reasons we need beer (and/or wine) to keep us happy.

I drank it when it was available in the US. I was probably one of few that liked it at the time. However, for a mass market German beer I like Paulaner and Erdinger better. Or course there are many specialty German beers that are superior.

Of course, Erdinger is a wheat beer, so it's a different comparison (though obviously Paulaner and Lowenbrau also make wheat beers). I agree that it's a pretty good one though - better than any of the big Munich wheat beers.

As for Paulaner, I consider it the second best of the big Munich breweries. I put Augustiner slightly ahead of it, especially the Edelstoff. That is an outstanding brew. However, I put Paulaner ahead of Lowenbrau, Hofbrau, Spaten, and Hacker-Pschorr. Of course, I'm sorta nitpicking them. All of them make excellent beer. However, when I lived in Germany and had a big selection, I tended to buy Andechs, Ayinger, Zöttler, and Ettal. I think they're an echelon above the big Munich breweries.

Uncle Joe is feeding to many mouths who will do anything to keep him going. However, for Newsome has the Newsome/Polisi/Harris clan behind him. That plays in California and probably New York, but not so much in the purple states.

Cornell West is also running in the Green Party. RFKJr will pull from both sides. But I don't doubt he will pull from many normie Dem voters. I think he will play best with the soccer moms who already left the Rs because of Trump. But who knows. I'll be voting LP this time most likely. I didn't last time.

I'm curious to see what the first polls with RFK in them will look like. It does seem like it hurts Trump more than Biden.

RFK going third party. This will suck votes from Democrats more than Republicans, but it will also pull independents. Hmmm.

Hard to imagine how it will help Biden. I know some Republicans have kicked the tires on him a little because of the COVID vaccine issue, but he's a wild leftist who will be easy for the GOP nominee (whether it's Trump or anyone else) to attack to keep the GOP base in line. However, that wild leftism will appeal to very liberal but anti-establishment voters Biden needs to win.

Maybe the argument is that Kennedy takes away votes from Trump in a few key battleground states.

And this is why I think RFK would hurt Biden more. Anyone even remotely conservative is going to see this as ridiculous. However, plenty of Biden supporters like this kind of garbage. It's something Elizabeth Warren would propose.

I had thought Charlie Mops invented beer.

You know what would be awesome, for a political spectacle:

An Independents' debate--featuring RFK Jr., and 5-6 wild-eyed Independent candidates (most of us have never heard of) on stage.
