In addition to William Travis, we can thank Alabama for The First Lady of Texas, too. Both of her parents were natives of Alabama. Lady Bird spent nearly every summer with relatives in Bama before she ultimately arrived in Austin and the 40 Acres.

Travis & Lady Bird are forever legendary around these parts -- perhaps MA will be too? Something with that Bama mojo.
