DeAndre Daniels deadline Wednesday

Bob, do we know anything else? Looks like Thursday has come and gone. Has Calipari brought in the wire transfer from World Wide Wes? Much as we need help, the cynic in me is thinking this kid is trouble. Little too much prima donna drama it would seem. Let Self, Scott Drew, and others have at this one and downer.
 
Nope, nothing. The IMG coach (who happens to be Coach K's son-in-law) has been left to twist in the wind while nothing happens. He advised one radio guy who asked what he should to tell his listeners that they should "just be patient."

I guess that's what we all have to do.

2. Sun., March 27 (KU loses to VCU; 124,122 visits)
3. Thurs., May 19 (Daniels, um, doesn't make a decision; 107,409 visits)
 
Man, is it just me, or does Horn nation have to now hope that Daniels heads to Lawrence, KS or even Durham, NC? This recruitment has gotten simply bizarre: "I'm going to Texas, nah I need to re-evalaute, nah still love Texas and Kansas, will anounce Wendesday, nah make it Thursday, nah,...." and only silence....... this grand stand makes Bron Bron and Jim Gray seem back stage quiet! Not at all certain this type of kid can be good for a college basketball program. PRIMA DONNA alert is what I am sensing.
 
Everything I've heard is that the guy is a good guy--respectful and somewhat shy. If he was a prima dona then he would schedule a press conference with hats. Word last week was that he would call each coach and let him know his decision and then announce his decision. Obviously, he's not ready to do that yet.

He will announce his decision in due time and considering Texas' need for skill and talent, they will welcome him either before Summer I, Summer II or just before the fall semester begins.
 
Didn't he reclassify to the 2011 class? If grades are an issue can you relassify to 2012? I guess my real question is how many times can you reclassify?
 
Well that's that... either it's the NC pedigree versus "The Sweet 16 is too preposterous to expect every year." Hmmmm.... wonder where'd I go.... or it's Calhoun pushing the envelope and just laughing as he suffers no damage...
 
Wow, I never heard Connecticut as a possible destination until word of his commitment. I'd love to find out the backstory on this recruitment someday.
