DBU Game Report

My son and I went to DBU this afternoon to see them play Central Arkansas. While I finished my undergraduate degree at DBU in Finance, I had never been to a DBU baseball game.

While the park is small, it is immaculate and is home to a very good team.

We sat in the first row on the first base side and had a great time. Central Arkansas was in the dugout on our side and I talked briefly to their coach. Both teams looked well-disciplined and were ready to play. One error for each side, but nothing egregious.

If you are in DFW, check out DBU baseball. Our tickets were $12 each with free parking.

College baseball is like Minor League baseball, but a lot better.

I just came by their campus Sunday dropping off flowers to my dads resting place at the veterans cemetery next door. Absolutely beautiful campus and I’ve been meaning to go watch a game there for sometime.

I think Coach Heefner at DBU was a finalist for the UT job that went to David Pierce.

No offense to Concordia, but I tell people that for grad school I looked at Electoral College. Go Fighting Electrons! Or something.

Sorry for your loss, I know you have great memories. Its surreal not being able to talk to mine any more even though we didn't talk that much, I always thought he would be there.
