David Edwards

I'm not sure where I should post this, but hopefully this board will work.

David Edwards, a former San Antonio Madison Maverick football player, slipped into a coma on Monday and is currently in critical condition. He suffered an injury in a playoff game against Austin Westlake in 2003 that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.

Many of you maybe familiar with him and his ties to Austin and The University of Texas at Austin.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts. He has become an incredible inspiration to many and his motivation has helped many young athletes that have suffered similar injuries.

I know there are some Madison alumni on here and for anyone interested, there will be a memorial service for David at 4pm on Sunday at the Littleton Gym in San Antonio.
