Darrell Scott Update from Colorado TV station

The recruitment of Darrell Scott reminds me a lot of the John Brantly situation a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it looks like DS is not going to come here and UT will be left at the alter again.

LISD,

The reports up until yesterday were very promising. The third and fourth hand rumours you are referring to are not rumours. They are the news coming out of Scott's hometown and school. If it makes you feel better just ignore this post.

From Rivals.com, apparently Scott is leaning towards CU as of this morning...

The nation's No. 1 running back recruit has narrowed his choices to Texas and Colorado, and, according to sources, it appears that the Buffs have the inside track as of Tuesday morning. Will announce at 12:50 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the ESPN Zone in Anaheim.

At this point, I will be shocked if we get this kid. This whole thing stinks to high heaven and I expect it will end badly.

Folks said that Chase Daniel would never win anything meaningful at Missouri when he stuck by his commitment and rejected Mack Brown's belated recruitment. HIs team won its division this season. How many times has Texas done that the past 10 years?

Do not discount the job Hawkins and his staff are doing at CU. That program is not the same one Barnett left in ruins.

Wow...now we're just going to take 'winning your division' as proof that a player is a great success at a school?

I don't think anybody..anywhere...ever...would compare mizzu with texas on any level at all ever. Last year they had their best team in who knows long and it still amounted to jack.

Although this doesn't involve a native Texan... does this situation remind anyone of the "Andre Gurode" recruitment years ago... with the kid crying as his mom made him sign for cu... and didn't mom get a job and home in co?
