Dan's Hamburgers vs. Casino el Camino

Casino does not go after the "take out" business outside of folks on 6th or folks they know, their location is not condusive to take out // pick up business given traffic and a lack of parking. it's helps them prevent higher food cost the thusly pass on their goodness to you at a fair price, it also helps in the prevention of folks ordering then saying "aw **** it, the traffic, the parking... I'll hit the drive thru at Dan's" and no showing. this is not hard to figure out folks..y'all are in college right?

I went there one time, my first time, and waited in line to order but then got real nervous like when you are out of town and get in the wrong pay lane of the toll road, so I left.

I was at Casino on a Wednesday during SXSW. They were pissed that they were so busy. It's not exactly a traditional establishment.

milkman, I think all hourly employees are pissed that it's busy. They may not be as open about it as the dudes at casino though.

Damn, I want to cry. One of the the things I miss about being a fat guy is being able to eat any damn thing I want. My wife and I on one of first dates went to Dans, and it was a regular stop for us for years. I dont crave it but a double meat double cheese with a side of onion rings and a monster coke. *sigh*

is that the Dan's on Lamar or one of the other ones? i've definitely never had patties that thick at the one on Lamar.

for a traditional bacon cheese burger, Dan's wins all the way. Casino has some good specialty burgers, but then, Dan's doesn't have them at all, so it's not really a fair comparison outside the standard fare.

My dad always tells me that employees of Dan's share in the profits. So they work harder than most hourly employees and take pride in the business.
