I'm not going to accept the "equal to 2006." Regardless of what happens, this team is already very much better than the 06 team. Now...on your behalf, this team should completely wipe out either the Grizz or the Thunder. If they don't, then I'll back off.

If they do - then I'll reassert - regardless of who they face from the East, they're better than the 2006 Mavs. And since I view you as the hoops guru on this board, you should acknowledge which Mavs team is best.

It is very possible these Mavs could lose in the NBA Finals and still be better than the '06 Mavs.

And p.s.: Josh Howard couldn't hold the Matrix's jock strap.

Shawn Marion is still playing better than Josh Howard, & regardless of what happens from here on out, - now that this is the first Mavs team EVER to win 3 Finals games - I officially proclaim them to be better than the 2006 squad !!! (Although I pointed that out with my first entry of this thread)

Josh Howard could play, but IMO, he was a cancer for the Mavs and bad for team chemistry. Seemed like a me first guy. And for all his flashes of greatness, he always seemed to have a bad attitude.
