My Dad was diagnosed kidney cancer last week. We have been blessed to make it to MD Anderson so quickly. After a week in another hospital in Houston, We were blessed to have a referral get us into MD Anderson today and we have plan of action to win this battle.

My father is 48 yrs young. (I am 29). He is a great father and my best friend. During the years I played ball for this great university, he and my mom never missed a weekend series to support me and my fellow horns. We would welcome your support through our battle, we are ready.

God Bless.

Clint

My Dad had brain surgery on Friday morning to remove 2 tumors. The surgery was a success!! He spent the first 24hrs in ICU, but now he is recovering well in his own private room and should be home by Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. We watched football most of the day and were happy to see the Horns take the roses!!!! Thank you to all that have included us in your prayers. We have seen that it helps!

God Bless,

Clint

So sorry that I missed this until today. Congrats on the surgery! I am certainly praying for you and your family. My father is too dealing with the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. I had been fighting frustration over their lack of urgency with my father. However, I feel pretty small for thinking so now. They know what they are doing. May God bless you.

My dad will have surgery on 1/25/2005 to remove/replace the T5 vertebrae. The surgery is expected to last 8.5hrs or longer. He was admitted today to have a Spinal Embulization, this restricts the blood flow to the T5 region. Positive news has already been sent. He did not need the complete procedure, as the tumor was not as vascular as expected.

He is doing good and ready to battle. He wanted me to send his thanks to all that have been praying and to let you know he is drawing spiritual strength from you all. We have seen the great work of praying and asking that you continue to pray for my dad.

Thank you again to all. I hope to update you after the surgery Tuesday.

God Bless and Hook'em,

Clint

Continued prayers for your father Clint.
May Gods hand help guide the Drs through the surgery and help him heal.

Surgery was a Success!! It was a long day, total procedure was 8.5 hours, although they got him at 6.45 am and we did not see him until 6.30pm! My dad now has 2 rods in his back, they run parallel to his spine and connect to T3, T4, T6, T7. He is in good spirits>Laughing & Eating. He will actually be walking this afternoon and will be in his own private room as well.

I will keep you informed of the next step, which will be stereo-tatical radiation on a very small tumor in his brain that was too risky to remove from the last surgery. As soon as the date is confirmed I will update.

We can not express the amount of love we send back those of you that have kept my dad in your prayers. We asked that you keep it up, yall have done great things for us.

God Bless,

Clint

Thanks for the updates, good to hear that surgery was a sucess.
I have a friend/co-worker having back sugery today sometime, rods and pins she can not understand how those things will fit into her spin because they look big, she's affraid she'll set off metal detectors but thinks the surgery is worth the risk of homeland sercurity searching her..
