Dad diagnosed with cancer

My dad was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer about a month ago. It is a rare cancer that affects the pancreas. It is slow-moving, but not a lot is known about it. As a result, the doctors have not given any prognosis.

To date, my dad has undergone five chemo treatments, and has not gotten sick yet. This is a good thing.

What makes it suck all the more is that he is only 61, and was retiring at the end of the year anyway. My hope is that he'll get to actually enjoy it.

We are a family of faith, and know God will handle this in His infinite wisdom. Your prayers are appreciated, all the same.

Blessings and Prayers to you and your family, may you find strength in each other and through God in this time of need.

Prayers.

My dad has completed his first cycle of chemo treatments, and still has not gotten sick. He did finally start losing his hair, though.

He officially retires on Friday, and starts the next cycle of chemo on Tuesday. They still have not given a prognosis, but things seem to be going well.

Thanks for the prayers!
