Tiger, I'll play along. Let's say that they pass a law banning the guns that we are talking about. They also start an aggressive program to buy back the ones already on the street. Unlike Australia, we are not on an island. Much like drugs, there will certainly be a demand for these types of weapons. How do you plan to keep them out of the us on the black market?

Looking at Hu Fan's stats over 24 years, "only" about 120 per year die as mass murder victims. But 30,000 per year die from gun use annually.
The NRA calls for more guns out there to try to prevent the 120 deaths per year.
What about the 30,000 deaths per year, and the near certainty that more guns out there would mean more deaths per year overall? Who is crazy?
I'm waiting for Wayne LaPierre to call for arming all firemen after the shooting in New York at the fire scene yesterday.
 
The President should lead by example and declare the White House a "guns free zone". Arming the secret service does not improve security and only increases the risk that the President could be accidentally shot.
 
It sure seems like children and schools have become targets.

The point I am hearing from the gun control advocates is that armed security guards would not reduce the likelihood of these type of attacks. Perhaps you could argue that this event was an outlier and we should not overreact. Fine. But to argue that armed security guards will not reduce the likelihood of an attack on a school is non-sensical and hypocritical.
 
If having armed people at schools is such a CRAZY idea why does the school where BO's kids attend have 11 armed guards?

Since males are the perpetrators in almost all mass killings, I believe only females should be allowed to own, carry and discharge firearms. Well, maybe gay men also. No self respecting mass murderer would want to be caught dead accused of being gay.

Name one Mass Murdererer(sp) that wasn't off his fricking rocker?

Other assaults with guns, usually are by people that do no value life or are in the process of creating a crime.

How many respectful, non-crazy people go off and just kill people randomly?

I have no problem with guns or mags of any kind as long as they have a strict licensing law.

Gun Ownership, Drivers License and Voter Registration should all be stictly reviewed.
