Yep. We need to see more Navarre and Hudson Hamilton.Navarre looking pretty good. Dang
UTSA over a$m 7-4 and aggies are now 6-5 on the year, having lost 5 in a row to unranked teams. Couldnt happen to a nicer bunch.
I guess that makes losing streaks an aggie tradition. My mistake, they lost 4 in a row before beating Rice. So they started a new losing streak tonite.

Every last player in that lineup can run well and steal bases. Two things I have loved about schloss thus far:
1. Pitcher struggles?? He will pull him at any count, you walk someone and then your first two pitches are balls to the next batter?? You’re coming out!! Love it. Previous coach would have lost a couple of these close games already due to leaving the pitcher in too long.
2. Batting lineup, coach has made adjustments that strengthen the lineup and he doesn’t hesitate to do so, doesn’t matter what your last name is or where you hit last year, the stats are the stats. Example, Flores and schoos both got dropped according to their performance, fast fwd, Flores is now squaring up the ball well and has moved up to number 3 accordingly and right where he should be. Will didn’t belong there, I knew it, and coach knew it but Flores wasn’t getting it done until this past weekend. Mendoza, went from 9 hole to 1 hole. Love love love the adjustments and have agreedwith these moves. Previous head coach would putout a VERY weakened lineup, it was insane!! Why handicap yourself??
Schloss is in the business of kicking *** and business has been goood because of small decisions like these that go unnoticed by many.
I’m not holding that miss against him last night, it looked like he slipped while trying to catch it. I expect he’s solid out there. It’s his offense thats going to keep him from playing more. Right now I suspect farmer has better offensive stats and if Borba explodes like I expect, then schoos will likely have to move to the DH. Lots of possibilities though. Ive been expecting Borba to get going like last season and if he does you’re not going to be able to keep him out of the line up. He has a solid glove too. Right now it makes Schoos vulnerable. I expect Schoos to get going too so it may come down to who has a better glove (fewest errors). Thus far, Winfield is the "weak link", and we know he has it in him. The competition he faced batting around 0.330 with 12 or so HR was pretty good. A tad shy of the Big 12, but not bad at all.
He had a rough time with the wind and that one fly ball. But for that, we may have held them to 1-2 runs for the entire game. The wind was pretty nasty
