Considering aggy

A&M is academically a good school. That is why all of their stupid *** **** is so infuriating. They are doing the state a tremendous disservice because if they were a normal school, A&M would be legit option for a lot of Texas kids.

For a lot of us, especially those of us born of immigrants, A&M's culture is completely alien and off-putting. They need to get rid of that crap in order to diversify their student base.

Remember...in life after school, unfortunately perception counts more than reality.

And increasingly nationwide, the perception of aggy is reflected in videos of nut grabbing, nose-pickin', etc.

Choose wisely.

I turned down a UT acceptance to go to Baylor. Knowing what I know now, I'd make that decision again. If you're legitimately looking at transferring to a school that really suits you academically, you need to do some research. For premed students, it works out pretty well.

This thread is totally absurd. The kid should go to the best school for his academic program that he can get into. If he can't get into Texas, and atm is the best that he can do, then, he should go there. Yes, College Station is a ********, but it doesn't mean you can't have a good time there. I can only speak about engineer, but I know that the career opportunities with a degree from atm are far greater than they are for Tech or any other Texas school besides UT and maybe Rice.

Actually, there is a way around all of this.

If your room mate commits suicide, I believe you get a 4.0 for the semester automatically! Worth a shot. Then the whole GPA thingy looks better.

I would probably just attend aggy.

go to Texas State. Their academics is going to rise tremendously in the next 20 years. It is great you are a diehard longhorn and if you are, do not go to aggy.
