Comey and Mueller

General Mike Flynn got himself some new lawyers (including Sidney Powell who I've written about in here before) and they have officially filed for the Special Counsel’s prosecutors to be held in contempt for withholding key evidence from defense team. They claim the judge has the jurisdiction and power to dismiss the charges.

Powell has nailed Andrew Weissmann for misconduct in the past. Weissmann, as we learned from Mueller's sad testimony, had more to do with running this team than Mueller did.

You may recall the early meeting Comey, Brennan, and Clapper had with Trump on Jan 6, 2017? They said it to give Trump "a heads up" about stuff in the Steele Dossier.

The IG report contradicts this. It says the FBI wanted to use the meeting to get "information of value" for Russia probe.

This is big point. It shows they lied about purpose of the meeting. It was not to give Trump a heads up, it was a setup. An attempted sting. From the very outset. This was an attempted coup.

Joe, read the article I posted above. The FBI went out of their way to trap Trump. Comey set up Trump up and then wrote it all down in a way that would be admissible in court.

Devin Nunes thinks there is still a possibility John Durham could still bring a conspiracy charge against Comey --

“So this is a guy who is definitely not telling the truth, and the good thing about the IG report is he’s now made himself, the IG has now made him eligible for a larger conspiracy charge—a criminal conspiracy charge—which is what we really hope the attorney general [U.S. attorney] out of Connecticut is able to do,” Nunes said. “That’s the big thing that we need. We need real charges brought. And I think a lot of people are frustrated because they feel like Comey leaked classified information. But the question is would a panel of jurors in Washington, D.C., [convict]? There would be so much ambiguity because he claims—I forget the exact numbers, but like 1, 4, and 7 contained classified information but those weren’t the memos that he gave to his professor friend that went to the media. It would be almost impossible to prove and he would probably skate. And probably the worst thing to happen would be for him to skate. So I think that in the end, the Attorney General made the right decision as long as they continue to press on the larger issue which is: How did this whole investigation begin in the first place with zero evidence, zero evidence that Trump had any involvement with Russia?”

“I’ve been very careful,” Nunes said. “I shouldn’t be this way, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and I like to not name names until there’s been a fair process and we’ve given the U.S. Attorney time to do his work. However, with that said, the one thing that is clear is if the U.S. Attorney decides to take our complaint—I’m not saying he’s going to do exactly what we’ve asked him to do but he’s clearly looking at all this. If he looks at conspiracy, on the FISA courts and the manipulation of intelligence for political purposes, it is now impossible—there is so much evidence that puts Comey right in the middle of this—so that’s my point. If they’re going to go down that road, Comey has got to be involved in it. The evidence is there.”
Devin Nunes: U.S. Attorney from Connecticut Should Charge Comey for Conspiracy

McCabe lied to the American people and misused his power within the DOJ. He is a traitor and should be jailed. Until then we are just encouraging more of them to abuse their power.

Do you think McCabe will have his home raided at first light and his wife rousted out by men with guns while still in her nightie?
Will he have his children threatened with charges if he does not plead?
Will he be charged on unrelated stuff?
Will he and his wife be intentionally bankrupted defending this stuff?

These things were done to Trump's people by Team Mueller. But Barr has yet to drop any charges or vacate convictions -- Flynn, Papdo, Stone all still have legal trouble

I still dont think this is a good look for DOJ
There is yet to be any accountability on the DOJ Abuses of 2016-2017 and it does not appear there will be.
Prosecution has already been declined on Comey and two others.
It looks like McCabe is their chosen fall guy and even with him, they are exacting a small price now -- and they probably only picked him because he is such an *** any way,and made them all look bad with the Clinton Foundation corruption. Sadly, I suspect Barr has just been one of them for too long.

Some people are still optimistic there will be justice \/, but I just dont see it - they have circled the wagons

We all have to remember as you said Joe Fan, that the people making the indictments have been workmates with the ones being indictments and probably friends. Don't expect the Deep State to hold the Deep State accountable. There will have to be someone someday in the DOJ or other agency that works in the Deep State but doesn't identify himself that way.

Comey, Page, Strzok and McCabe all stated under oath that none received any Steele dossier information at FBI HQ until mid-Sep
This is supposed to be shortly proven to be overtly false, or as they like to say in DC: "lacking in candor"
We will see

Re: Flynn
The guilty verdicts in the Bijan Rafiekian (Flynn Intel Group/Turkey/FARA case) case were tossed by Judge Trenga. Kian was Gen. Flynn’s partner on Turkey lobbying. Team Mueller’s evidence did not satisfy the judge.

"The evidence was insufficient as a matter of law for the jury to convict Rafiekian on either count"

This is a big blow to DOJ's "National Security Division."
