Colt for Heisman

I wish they would stop talking about it, I want him to have it, he deserves it, but do not want everyone paying a lot of attention to him until it is too late and we have already won everything while they were focusing on other teams if that makes sense. I very much want im to remain under the radar but I guess that's not realistic anymore since he has done so well.

I was hoping to stay under the radar until at least OU. Hopefully the attention has a positive effect on the team.

He will never make the Heisman, I didn't realize it was a team.

Screw under the radar, it doesn't work with the Heisman. The guy who gets it needs attention often and early. I am not worried about its affect on Colt either. He is one of the few guys that can keep something like that in perspective. Hell he just spent half his summer in Peru, helping the poor.

A lot of football left to be played but he definitely is in the conversation.

As all of us have seen with Vince the Heisman race is such a media driven, what -have you done -lately type of event that it doesn't pay to invest a lot of hopes in it. Even Ricky's Heisman candidacy was put in doubt by a poor rushing total against K. State and a last minute media push for Tim Couch and Cade McNown. He was hands down the best player that year (broke the career NCAA rushing total and was man among boys most of the year) but had it not been for the great performance against the Aggies, which included the record breaking run, he may not have walked with the award.

... don't mean poo-poo until the games play out. In reality there is no such thing as "number 4". Or "number 1". Not now.

Mind-numbingly simple. Whichever of these Big 12 teams ends up on top will have that QB (because essentially it's a QB race in the Big 12) be the top candidate.

Call me say Dec. 1. Till then it ain't for nuthin.
