Excited that physically he looks great.. surprising speed.

Really excited about his decision making and control of the offense.. unselfish and crisp.

Hook 'em!

I noticed that Colt was going thru his progressions much quicker and effectively this game. He is really progressing and if this continues his jump from soph to junior season that usually occurs will be tremendous. He locked onto receivers on designed short passes a few time but other than a great performance.

I think it is a little early to break out the gretest UT QB in history award, but he did have a stellar performance. The only potential problem I saw was that he still may be trying to do 'too much'. It was hard to tell given the first game, but I hope Colt doesn't get too eager to run in other games. We need his *** healthy.

Loved reading this thread but pull the reins in on the best quarterback in UT history. I thought I was pumped after this game. wow Brown talked at the press conference about how fast colt is and he showed it at this game.
I too thought about how colt ran into the endzone, it was so much like vince at the rose bowl.
Awesome stadium. great game, Vince live, all in all a great opening. And Muschamp says we will do the most improvement from game 1 to game 2. UTEP better be ready.

I don't think it can be said enough that the Oline really played an enormous role in Colt's success. They just dominated the FAU blitz and gave Colt all the time he needed to do his thing. There was one play in particular were he literally had more time in the pocket than I can ever recall a UT QB having. Great team effort all around.

Agreed. The OL looked fantastic, and the RBs picked up any extra rushers well. Colt looked very poised and made tons of good decisions. He seems to have that knack for knowing JUST how much trouble he can get into and STILL escape from- a very Vince-like quality.

One mild concern- Colt did a great job of working throuhg his progressions and only deciding to run after all were exhausted. Shouldn't our receivers be able to get open often enough to keep him from needing to pull it down so often? I kept getting worried in the third quarter that he would get hurt because he was running so much. I wonder what the route-running film review will reveal.
