Is anyone planning on going to the CU game or have previously been to a game n Boulder? If so, where is a good place to stay close to campus?

Have been going every time Texas has been there since ’96 and the best place to stay near campus is the Millennium Harvest House. Great times in the lobby!!!

Take a bag with you so you can collect the batteries thrown at you or others. If only a small percentage work or have charge you can save a few bucks to use on gas sometime.

I've spent one night each at the Boulder County Jail in 1996 and 2004. Although I don't recommend you stay there, it's one of the nicest jails I've ever experienced.

yeah ill be there as well...flying in Friday and flying out Sunday morning...gonna go check out the Coors brewery on Friday afternoon...

FYI, there's a group of us Denver-area Texas Exes that will be smoking a lot of BBQ somewhere in the area prior to the game. As we solidify our plans, I will post. We will need a lot of support to deflect the flying batteries.

Right now, the odds of us getting in a major fight are about 3:2.

yeah but the question is, will Frontier still be running in October?

They filed for bankruptcy, and with fuel going through the roof, and all their suppliers now demanding cash up front, and the credit card companies not paying Frontier until either 30 + days have passed - or the ticket was used, theres a good chance they wont make it.

I too will be going to the game.

Fingers crossed Frontier stays in business until at least October. I bought an LA to Denver flight for $220 about 3 weeks ago.

me and three other people are going to do the drive because we figured spliting the gas will be cheaper then all of us buying a ticket. The smoking in the area sounds really good and I can't wait to get more info

I got airfare (on American), a hotel, and a car...for just under $700 for two people through orbitz...and that includes the extra fee for being under 25 (I'm 23)...

Millenium Harvest House is allsome. They have a big courtyard out back and they set up a giant TV screen. You walk to the stadium. I didn't see one battery fly last time.

United has $188 fares from Houston to Denver.. Booked two for Thursday and returning on Sunday.. WIll spend all day in Rockies looking at the scenery and aspens.. This is prime time for their color change.. Will stay at Mariott in Boulder, which is closer than other hotel mentioned.. Saturday night, will stay at Marriott Courtyard at airport for early Sunday flight..

The flights from Houston to Denver on Southwest are even cheaper. I just made my reservations on Friday. Flying out on Friday night and coming back on Monday night. $79 per person each way. Can't beat that. See you there.

I've travelled to Boulder back and forth to Boulder every month for the past 2 years. The best hotel by far is the St Julien. Its less than a mile from the stadium and walking distance to all of the great restaurants and bars. The Boulder Marriott is decent but nothing beats the Julien.

Im flying out of DFW...not Austin...so because of Love Field and the Wright Amendment...id have to fly through another city to get to Denver on SW...making it cost more...

ill be at the game!im so excited but im staying/going with a friend who lives in Downtown (LoDo) Denver...although Coors is nice alot of the small microbreweries around LOdO are also pretty sweet

i recommend Flying Dog

Note to those going to the game: Watch for flying projectiles from all the sCUm that will be in the stands.
