Remember the good old days when Charlie and Vance would say "we just got to get better?" Steve Patterson probably still giggles every time he takes cash out of an ATM.
 
The tackling tutorial is great. Unfortunately, in today's game, the basic concepts of getting the head across the bow, head up, locking the arms, and follow through are not executed for the most part.
 
ISU is under rated flying under the radar. They are better than advertised. I don’t think the Kansas game has anything to do with the trap that is Iowa State! I have not watched them play much this year, but I know they have a very good QB, WR, RB, and a very solid defense. Texas needs to have practiced tackling and be ready defensively. Our defense has to play better! I’m sure Sam will be ready. Our offence is light years ahead of last year.

I’ll give you this.....ISU may not fit trap game by definition. But this game will require a much better defensive effort than we have been seeing. This game will be a war, we’re going to need a 4th qtr stop and the team can not afford defensive let downs. We can agree on that. This game will be as tough as OSU was, maybe worse.

Your entire post defines precisely why this year ISU is good and this is not a trap game. Not in the least. No reason whatsoever for this Texas team to be overlooking any opponent, much less a very good ISU team who knocked off WVU.
