Clinton/Obama debate on UT Campus..

For the debate in L.A., about 3/4 of the tickets were given to the delegates to the CA Dem convention through a lottery. I lost, but had friends who won. In addition, campaign workers in the L.A. office also received some tickets.

Judging by the TV coverage, you had to be a Hollywood insider to get any of the remaining tickets. All of the tickets were free, but I did hear there was a scalper market.

Maybe at U.T., being a Foundation member will be enough. With your OU tickets, you will also get debate tickets

Your best bet is to go to work on the campaign in Austin.

My guess is it won't be at a large venue. They like to control the crowds at these events. I'm guess the venue will hold less than 1000.

Just watch it on Univision. Obama agreed to an Austin debate for two reasons;

1) Univision has a mostly Latino audience. (I'm sure we'll learn he would have given undocumented immigrants drivers' licenses in NY)

2) It's a college town so the people filling the seats are likely going to favor him.

Any bets on whether it will be at the Drum? Already set up for tv broadcasts and a large venue for what could be a large event. I hope they give the general public a chance to attend.

It would be funny if they held it in Welch 2.224. Dr. Laude would stumble in and everyone would end up evacuated due to a small chemical leak elsewhere in the building.
