Climate Change skeptic converts

The earth warms and cools on it's own. I worry that humans are impacting the earth's ability to react naturally to it's warming/cooling. The ocean's response to the Gulf oil spill was pretty remarkable. The earth reminds me of the human body in that there are certain repairs that take place naturally. My "leftist" fear is that we will inhibit the earth's ability to fix itself.

I tend to worry more about oceanic ecosystems and things like that seem to get lost in the shuffle over temps, humidity, etc.

Ok, so it has been too long since I have posted on the West Mall.

A couple of points about the pre-published, non-peer reviewed BEST project (I guess it is ok to link to non-peer reviewed literature as long as it confirms biases?). here is a graph of what the BEST data shows from the past 15 years. Keep in mind, this is without any sea-surface temperature added in so it is understood (by the convinced and skeptics alike) to be biased TOWARDS warming:

Secondly, Judith Curry, 2nd lead author on the BEST project papers heartily disagrees with any notion that the BEST project put skepticism to rest. She herself is a skeptic who converted from the ranks of the convinced about 3 years ago.Wood for Trees data plot
