I bet the wine was not $9 a glass.

No, but they charged me 12 dollars for my pizza. I couldn't read the menu cuz it had cheese stuck on it.

drag, thanks for being a good sport.

CC rocks.
Last birthday party I went to there, the guest of honor got naked and went down a slide. Can't even do that on 6th Street.

It's still way better than Cheesy Charlie's. One time, I went there and got in a fight with a little kid who stole my Dukes of Hazzard watch out of a grab machine crane game. Then, the manager called my bluff on cancelling my kid's birthday party. Luckily, I was able to save the party by hijacking a circus.

Wait, come to think of it, that wasn't me at all...

In high school, we used to go to Pistol Pete's, a Chuck E Cheese ripoff. We would go on a Fri or Sat night because (A) they had $4 pizza with a coupon, (B) we were usually hammered and found it funny, and (C) we could play the hell out of some skee ball.

To be fair, most everything I did in high school was breathtakingly stupid.

BrisketTexan:

Was Pistol Pete's a chain? We didn't have alot of money growing up so we could always tell when payday was because my parents would haul us to Pistol Pete's in Richardson every other Friday. I spent all my money on the foosball/hockey game.

Speaking of birthdays, it just reminded me of Magic Time Machine in Addison. Sorry it's a bit random, but that place ruled.

Here's the reason for Chuck E. Cheese's greatness. They sell beer. Once, I took my kid to a birthday party there, and one of the dad's was so hammered he climbed on the stage and pissed on one of the rat band. Beat that, Showbiz.

When a guy walked into my office in 87 and shot two people I somehow ended up at a Chuckie Cheese staring at those kids and crying into an uneaten pizza.

This goes wayyyy back but, when my family moved to Richardson when I was 4, there was a pizza place called Pipe Organ's Pizza. It had a -are you ready for this? - huge pipe organ that played throughout the meal.

I think it closed down a couple of years after we moved there. Which would have been about 1978-9.

This is kind of off-topic but, does anyone remember Casa Bonita in Arlington/Irving. Went there once as a kid and it is one of my fondest memories. We didn't have much money so going there was kind of like a huge vacation. I know South Park spoofed it in one episode so apparently there was more than one. Maybe in Denver?
